Tamara L. Thompson is an excessive collector who believes, "We have too much of everything."
In her studio in Rubigen, she creates brightly colored creatures from discarded plastic toys. With these, she blends current events and impressions into Pop Art.
Tamara L. Thompson spent a total of seven years abroad. In Milan, she studied dance, and in Japan and Los Angeles, she performed her studies as a dancer in various ensembles. Since 2018, she has dedicated herself exclusively to visual art, recycling old plastic toys into imaginative figures. Her works are based on discarded mannequins that would otherwise end up in the trash—like tons of other plastic items. With her captivating creations, Tamara primarily aims to raise awareness of the excessive amount of plastic that surrounds us all.
